The menu was impressive and unique with something for all tastes. After a long wait to be served, with a half an hr wait for my cold coffee and then an hour wait for the food I was less than impressed. However the food was very good and almost worth the wait.
I think perhaps the staff here could do with a lesson in customer service!
NYT offers a nice location however my coffee experience here wasn't what I was hoping for. I started off with a flat white which was drinkable but a had a slightly burnt flavour. My short black was ok. maybe next time. I will be back for the food however.
Reviewed by: jfarrell | Date: 8th February 2010 | Report this reviewIf you're here for the coffee, I'm not sure I'd bother. The milk on my flat white looked good - smooth and with a bit of latte art on it, making me think the coffee here would be better than your average place on the corner: quite simply, it is a deceptive blanket over a poorly pulled shot.
That's unfortunate, because the staff are nice enough and the menu is good too, with plenty of options for those who are gluten free or vegan in your life.
The food, which is really well done, makes up for the coffee, so I'd be coming here for a nice meal over a solid cup of espresso.
