Such a funky establishment. I visited from Sydney and made sure I made it to BBB a number of times. Nice coffee from the Synesso and the Clover.

Always good! Great coffee, fantastic atmosphere & great service. The reason you head to the CBD is so that you have an excuse to drop in. One of Melbourne's best coffee venues.

I was down from Sydney and had to come and check this place out after hearing and reading good things about them everywhere. To start with the place looks awesome, small but we were seated easily. After a few awkwardly funny exchanges between my friend and the waitress about whether he ordered a long black or a long mac we received our coffees. My double ristretto was all that I could ask for, very sweet with complex flavours.
Even though it was meant to be a quick stopover, I ordered another coffee because I just had to. This time a piccolo. It had the best milk I had ever tasted. So silky smooth. Watching the man behind the steam wand confirmed this wasn't a fluke, he paid a great deal of attention to the process.
I also had a glass of water....it tasted like water.

Just incredible. The new 'measuring stick' for following coffees - I pity them. Would travel the 2000km by foot to get another...

I'm from Brisbane and I've always been told that the coffee in Melbourne is the true standard and that this place is one of the best.

However, I have to say that this place just didn't do it for me. The coffee was good but lacked the flavours I expect from a great coffee. If anyone is ever in Brisbane, check out Blackstar Coffee in West End - it remains the true standard for me.

This place was on my 'must go' list on a recent visit to Melbourne and it did not dissapoint me. While I was waiting for my latte and moccha to be ready I see a steady stream of people coming. Some looked like regulars while others like me, looked like first time visitors to the 'Mecca of Melbourne coffee scene' (I dare say that now).

Service was excellent considering the large crowd they had to attend to.

The milk on my latte was velvety - just the way I liked mine to be. I think this was my first encounter with Seven Seeds and I love it for it\'s robustness. Overall it was a delightlful sensory experience for me.

Definitely coffee worth travelling for... Hey I travelled 7hours for this!!

Small bust still very busy - a sign that the coffee is worth having!

We'd read the reviews and thought we'd go and see what the fuss is about - and it really is worth the fuss.

The first thing we noticed about the coffee is how smooth it was - milky but not enough to overpower the taste of the coffee.

Someone takes your order, someone else grinds the beans and someone else puts care into making the cofffee. All round excellent service.

Don't get me started on this place. I don't think the coffee experience can get any better.
I am from Sydney and heard about this place in Crema magazine, it topped the list in specialty coffee shops in Melbourne.
It was kinda hard to find due to no signage and being quite tiny, but I am so glad that I found this place last year on a trip to Melbourne.

I have never found coffee that tastes better, they always nail the extraction and am able to drink 3+ coffee's without feeling shakey or anxious. This is due to Seven Seed's roasting and blending only high grade coffee beans so my hat is off to them.

I really love the decor (hanging chair's from the roof) and I like that the barista's aren't pretentious in any way.

Please do yourself a favour and check this place out.

Found this cafe on a recent trip to Melbourne through an iPhone app. We chose it because if it's quirky name and when arrived was not dissappinted! Old chairs hanging upside down from the ceiling and the place packed with locals I was hopin to be on a good thing.... And we were! The coffee was great and the service was great. Will def be back on my next trip!

Wow, any place that can survive without a sign outside the door has to be doing something right! This place is no exception. Quaint, quirky and quintessentially Melbourne. You can\'t expect a seat but you can expect a great coffee.

When I'm Melbourne for work or holiday, this is a fantastic spot for a consistently great cup of coffee.

Whether its a flat white, long mac etc care and attention is always given, and as a result the consistency is right up there.

The fitout is original and quirky - my only complaint would be that the place is a little small so if you're wanting to sit for a while and read it can be a little tricky.

Bit dissapointed. I made a special effort to get to this cafe after Reading all the reviews. Orderd a strong cap and ended up with a milky lukewarm something.

The first time I went into the cafe, I noticed how small it is, and to make it worse, how packed it is. There are a lot of people waiting for their coffee, and all seats they have in there are fully seated. The second thing I noticed is the ceiling, interestingly enough, it's lined with a lot of chairs. You've got to see for yourself to believe it. I guess if I can't find a seat on the floor, I can take one of their seat on the ceiling :)

But as soon as I'm able to order my latte (going for take away that time), it was handled efficiently, and I was away not long after with what I can say the best coffee I've ever tasted so far! I was like "Oh WOW! What a nice latte!" when I took my first sip all through the last sip.

I have been back there again a number of times since, and amazingly their latte is really consistent, I haven't had a complaint on my latte, not once! I highly recommend this place if you really are into your coffee.

Recently did all the big coffee spots in Melbourne recently. And apart from it's big brother, seven seeds, this is the best by far.
Great shop, great espresso and a clover... What more do you want!
